Open the calculator → This is the most complete of the pricing calculators — use it once you have real fee, ad-spend, and return-rate data.

What it models

Unlike a simple fee estimate, this calculator is built to bring together every layer of the full cost stack in one place: landed cost, marketplace referral fee, fulfillment cost, storage, advertising spend (as an ACOS/TACOS assumption or a flat per-unit figure), and an amortized return-rate cost. The output is your true per-unit and per-order contribution margin — see Gross vs. Contribution vs. Net Margin for why this is the number that should drive a pricing or go/no-go decision, not gross margin alone.

When to use it

  • Before finalizing a launch price, once you have a real landed cost and a realistic (not just hopeful) ad-spend and return-rate assumption for the category.
  • Whenever you're running SKU-level profitability analysis across an existing catalog.
  • Before comparing the same SKU's true profitability across two or more marketplaces — see Marketplace Profitability Comparison.

Getting a reliable answer out of it

The output is only as good as the inputs — a return-rate or ad-spend assumption pulled from thin air produces a confident-looking number that isn't actually reliable. Use your own historical data where you have it; where you don't (a new product with no sales history), use a conservative, category-informed estimate and re-run the calculation once real data comes in rather than treating the launch estimate as final.
