This page compares named commercial tools and may contain affiliate links — see our affiliate disclosure. Comparisons and rankings reflect each tool's published features, integrations, and pricing, not commission rates.

Ecommerce Accounting Software Comparison covers the general decision framework: ecommerce-specific tools versus general small-business accounting software, and what to check regardless of which category you land in. This page goes one level deeper and compares the specific, named tools multichannel sellers most often shortlist.

The field, compared

ConnectBooks Amazon/Walmart/TikTok Shop sellers wanting per-SKU profitability alongside reconciliation Amazon, Shopify, TikTok Shop, Walmart, eBay Built-in, per-SKU Tiered by order volume Profitability reporting layered on top of reconciliation
Synder Sellers who also process payments via Square, Stripe, or PayPal alongside marketplaces Amazon, Shopify, Etsy, Walmart, eBay, Square, Stripe, PayPal Add-on Tiered by transaction volume Broadest non-marketplace payment processor support
Webgility QuickBooks-centric sellers wanting one dashboard across marketplaces and a webstore Amazon, Shopify, Walmart, eBay, Etsy Built-in Tiered by order volume Deep, long-standing QuickBooks Desktop and Online support

How to actually choose among these

Start from your channel mix, not the tool's reputation. If you sell only on Amazon and Shopify, both A2X and Link My Books cover you well and the decision comes down to setup experience and price at your volume (see the direct Link My Books vs. A2X comparison). If TikTok Shop is a meaningful channel, confirm the tool's TikTok Shop integration is fully live rather than "in beta" — TikTok Shop support has historically lagged Amazon/Shopify support across this entire category, so verify current status directly with the vendor before assuming parity. If you take payments through Square, Stripe, or PayPal outside of a marketplace, Synder's broader processor coverage is worth a closer look even though its commission-affiliate economics (for anyone monetizing referrals) are weaker than the recurring-commission tools.

What doesn't differ much

Every tool on this list does the core job described in Reconciling Marketplace Payouts With Your Books — pulling settlement detail and posting categorized journal entries to QuickBooks or Xero. None of them replace the judgment call of confirming your chart-of-accounts mapping is correct for your specific business, and all of them require a real first-month reconciliation review rather than blind trust in the automation.

A worked example: three channels, one seller

A seller running Amazon, Etsy, and TikTok Shop needs one tool that reliably handles all three rather than stitching together channel-specific exports. Among the options above, A2X, Link My Books, and ConnectBooks all publish support for this exact combination — the deciding factors become COGS tracking depth (ConnectBooks' per-SKU profitability reporting is the most granular of the three) and price at that seller's actual monthly order count, which is worth quoting directly from each vendor rather than assuming from list pricing.
