Walmart Multichannel Solutions (MCS) extends Walmart Fulfillment Services beyond Walmart.com — once you're using WFS, you can fulfill orders from other sales channels (Amazon, eBay, TikTok Shop, Shein, Temu, your own DTC site, or any other storefront) out of the same WFS inventory, instead of splitting stock across separate fulfillment setups per channel. If you haven't enrolled in WFS yet, start with WFS: What It Is, What It Costs, and How to Enroll — MCS is an add-on, not a standalone program.
Eligibility
- You must already be enrolled in and actively using WFS to fulfill Walmart.com orders.
- A default billing method must be on file for WFS fees.
- Items must meet standard WFS product requirements.
- Multi-box and big-and-bulky items are not currently eligible for MCS.
Setting up sales channels
Everything happens in Seller Center, under Multichannel settings:
- Add a sales channel. Choose an existing third-party channel from the dropdown or create a custom one, and give it a unique name so you can tell channels apart in reporting.
- Choose a ship-from address. This is where customer returns and undeliverable shipments get sent.
- Choose a carrier package. Walmart recommends a default based on the channel, but you can switch:
| Package | Carriers included |
|---|---|
| A | FedEx, UPS, USPS, LaserShip, OnTrac (all carriers) |
| B | UPS, LaserShip, OnTrac (excludes FedEx, USPS) |
| C | FedEx, UPS, USPS (excludes LaserShip, OnTrac) |
| D | LaserShip, OnTrac only |
Restricting carriers narrows coverage area and can affect delivery speed promises. You can change carrier package at any time, but a change only applies to new orders placed after the change date — it won't retroactively affect orders already in flight.
- Add the channel. Walmart generates a unique sales channel ID for each one you create — you'll need this ID whenever you submit an order for fulfillment, and it's always visible on the Sales channels page if you lose track of it.
Creating and submitting orders
Once your channels are set up, go to Multichannel Orders → Manage fulfillment:
- Single order: enter the sales channel ID, customer information, shipping speed, and item details, then review and submit. Your channel's carrier package is shown automatically.
- Multiple orders: download the order template, fill in sales channel IDs (found under the Sales channel ID column in Multichannel Settings), customer information, item details, and shipping method per row, then upload the completed template.
APIs and solution providers
If you're already juggling several channels, API integration can automate inventory sync and order processing instead of manual entry — Walmart's API integration tools or a dedicated solution provider can handle this for you rather than requiring order-by-order manual submission through Seller Center.
How MCS fees differ from standard WFS
MCS fees are estimated and calculated separately from standard Walmart.com WFS fulfillment fees — expect some differences from the fee tables in WFS Fees: The Complete Breakdown, since MCS orders aren't Walmart.com sales and aren't subject to a Walmart referral fee the way a Walmart.com order is. Check the MCS fee estimator in Seller Center for your specific item and destination before assuming your standard WFS cost model applies unchanged.
FAQs
Do I need a separate WFS enrollment for each channel I want to fulfill? No — one WFS enrollment and inventory pool covers every sales channel you add through MCS. You only add a new sales channel, not a new WFS account.
Does my item have to be listed on Walmart.com to use MCS for another channel? This depends on your specific setup and channel — check current MCS eligibility guidance in Seller Center, since requirements can differ by channel and item type.
Does MCS handle returns from other channels? Yes, through the same WFS-backed returns handling — see Walmart's Multichannel Solutions returns guidance in Seller Center for how customer returns are routed and processed per channel.
